I'm Teia Lindfors, a designer and stylist based in montréal

I have a BFA in Fashion Design and Business from the École Supérieure de mode at ESG UQAM, as well as a DEC in Fashion Design from LaSalle College. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a variety of creative environments—from small, independent studios like Eliza Faulkner and MARKANTOINE, to larger commercial settings such as SSENSE and Aldo.
Design is where I feel most at home—transforming a two-dimensional idea into a real piece of clothing that someone can wear and love. I’m passionate about researching trends and silhouettes, but it’s the act of making that excites me most. I have also developed a love for styling, both on-model and still life. It allows me to explore the artistic narrative behind clothing and see how pieces take on new life in different contexts. I find a lot of inspiration in how people style themselves—everyone interprets fashion in their own way, and I think that’s so special.
I care deeply about our planet—as I believe we all should—and I try to integrate sustainable practices into both my daily life and my work. I’m often hesitant to speak about sustainability, because there's often a lot of big talk and little action. But for me, it’s a constant consideration. Everything I create for my personal projects is made from upcycled materials. My entire BFA thesis collection was crafted using reclaimed textiles—sheets, tablecloths, and shredded t-shirts that I hand-knit into chunky garments. At the heart of it, I just want us to be more mindful—about what we’re buying, where it’s coming from, and who made it.
